On the evening of your anniversary, you can leave the suite already dressed for the theatre and reach the Teatro di San Carlo on foot in about 8 minutes. After the performance, the walk back is as short as the walk there, with no need to look for a taxi.
For an anniversary trip to Naples as a couple, three nights in Chiaia leave two full days in the city, on top of your arrival and departure days. How many nights for an anniversary in Naples?

The Teatro di San Carlo and its 290th-anniversary season
The Teatro di San Carlo has an anniversary of its own: it opened on 4 November 1737, and the 2026/27 season marks its 290th anniversary. Two productions from the official programme fit neatly into an evening at the San Carlo within a three-night stay:
- Beethoven's Ninth Symphony, conducted by Daniel Oren with the Teatro di San Carlo Orchestra and Chorus, opens the concert season: Friday 13 and Saturday 14 November 2026 at 19:00, about an hour and a quarter with no interval. For the Friday performance you can arrive on Thursday 12 and leave on Sunday 15, with Saturday free; on Sunday, check-out is from Vico Monteroduni 16. Details in Beethoven at the San Carlo.
- Luisa Miller, the opera Verdi wrote for the San Carlo in 1849, in a new production conducted by Daniel Oren and directed by Davide Livermore: 2, 3, 4 and 5 December 2026 at 20:00, 6 December at 17:00, 9 December at 19:00, 10 December at 18:00; about 2 hours 45 minutes, with an interval. Tickets are bought online from the theatre's website, through Vivaticket, and arrive by email as print-at-home tickets. The theatre is at Via San Carlo 98/F, and the box office is open every day from 10:00 to 18:00, except for a few public holidays. Two house rules matter for the evening: latecomers aren't admitted once the performance has started, and vests and shorts aren't allowed.

Your anniversary dinner and the seafront

Which suite to choose for an anniversary?
The Suite Chiaia Deluxe Garden View is the more intimate of the two: olive green, wood and maiolica tiles, with a large window looking onto two neighbouring private gardens; the view doesn't extend to access. The bathroom has a shower cubicle and a bidet. Take a look if you'd like greenery in view even while staying indoors.
The Suite Toledo Deluxe Private Patio is larger and brighter, in shades of white and turquoise maiolica; the bathroom has a spacious walk-in shower, with no bidet. The small private patio, with table and seating, is reserved for its guests: if outdoor space matters to you, start with this suite.
Both suites host two guests, with a 160×200 queen bed. The entrance is independent and private; beyond the armoured door, a shared corridor serves the two suites.
