On the Frecciarossa leaving Rome, you can look back through the photos from the last few days and pick one to send home. Then put your phone away and open the guidebook to the chapter on Naples.
Between Rome and Naples, Trenitalia lists over 100 Frecciarossa services a day, with a journey of just over an hour. Three nights in Naples leave two full days; four leave three. Chiaia can be the base for this second leg: from Follaky Secret Garden, Piazza dei Martiri is about 3 minutes on foot, the seafront 7, Piazza del Plebiscito 9.
From Naples Centrale to Chiaia
From Naples Centrale to Follaky it takes about 35–45 minutes door to door on Metro Line 1, getting off at Garibaldi, or about 15–20 minutes by taxi. Give the driver Vico Monteroduni 16, the vehicle entrance, the one to use with luggage. Via Chiaia 149F is the pedestrian entrance, with the park's private lift working on a 20-cent coin. Check-in is from 15:00 to 20:00, in person with Monica or Fabio: let us know your arrival window, ideally already at booking. If you arrive before 15:00, early check-in and luggage storage are extra services, on advance request and subject to availability; storage follows the porter's desk hours: Monday–Friday 8:00–13:15, Saturday 8:00–11:30, closed on Sundays.
How to split three nights in Naples?

The first full day is for the historic centre, inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List in 1995. From Follaky, Santa Chiara is about 24 minutes on foot, Via San Gregorio Armeno 32 along Via Toledo, the Duomo 37. The metro doesn't save time: for San Gregorio Armeno, between Line 1 from Toledo to Dante and the walking stretches, it takes about 25–30 minutes. The second day brings together Via Toledo, a museum and the seafront. The Galleria Umberto I and the Teatro di San Carlo are about 8 minutes on foot; to choose the museum, open What to see. To close the day by the sea, along Villa Comunale and Via Caracciolo you reach Castel dell'Ovo, about 17 minutes on foot from Follaky.
On the morning of departure you leave the suite by 10:00; if you're leaving on a Sunday, check-out is from Vico Monteroduni 16.
The fourth night: Pompeii or Capodimonte
With four nights, the full days become three, and one can leave the city; to help decide the length, there's the comparison between three and four nights. For the Pompeii Archaeological Park, transport and tickets need to be arranged separately:
- Porta Marina and Piazza Esedra entrances: Circumvesuviana Naples–Sorrento line, Pompei Villa dei Misteri stop.
- Piazza Anfiteatro entrance: Circumvesuviana Naples–Poggiomarino line, Pompei Santuario stop, or the FS Naples–Salerno train, Pompei stop.
- EAV's Campania Express is suspended from 1 October 2026 until further notice: travel is on the ordinary trains.
- Tickets are personalised, bought online at vivaticket.it, with a daily cap of 20,000 entries.
The Archaeological Park's opening hours change on 15 October: until 14 October it's open from 9:00 to 19:00, with last entry at 17:30; from 15 October to 15 March, from 9:00 to 17:00, with last entry at 15:30. If you'd rather stay in the city, the day can go to the Museo e Real Bosco di Capodimonte, at Via Lucio Amelio 2. According to the official opening hours, the museum is closed on Wednesdays; the Sala dei capolavori (Room 62) is open from 8:30 to 19:30, with last entry at 18:30. On foot from Follaky it takes more than an hour: by taxi from Vico Monteroduni 16 about 20 minutes are enough, by bus about 50.
Which suite to choose after Rome?
Follaky Secret Garden is a boutique B&B in Chiaia, within the private residential park of Palazzo Giovagnoni, with Follaky Breakfast included.
